Glad to act as the co-patron in a Conference organized by the Association of Medical Physicists of India (Eastern Chapter) held at Medical College Kolkata, on 19th July, 2025. Stem cell transplantation performed at Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata

We have recently performed a successful stem cell transplantation with joint effort by the departments of Radiation Oncology and Haematology, Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata. Total body irradiation (TBI) as a prerequisite of stem cell transplantation was done by physicists and radiation oncologists of Radiation dept. under my care, with a dose of 2Gy twice daily for 3 days by V-mat Technique. This is a milestone treatment rarely done before in Kolkata.
