On 4/11/25, Stereotactic Radiosurgery was done in our dept. for a benign disease (acoustic neuroma) with curative intent. This type of treatment based on recent advance deserves credit of Radiation Oncology dept., Medical College Kolkata.

We have recently performed a successful stem cell transplantation with joint effort by the departments of Radiation Oncology and Haematology, Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata. Total body irradiation (TBI) as a prerequisite of stem cell transplantation was done by physicists and radiation oncologists of Radiation dept. under my care, with a dose of 2Gy twice daily for 3 days by V-mat Technique. This is a milestone treatment rarely done before in Kolkata.
